Update: Food tasted ok but service still very slow & tables not cleared. Note: No salad given anymore with toasties.We saw one old lady with a walking stick waiting at the till for ages even though she had been seen twice by staff.Maybe staff numbers need reviewing? Also you have to put your table Number into the auto service before paying & by the time we got to the table someone else had sat there. Another customer had the same problem .Further update very slow service lack of staff 45 min wait tables not cleaned.
Returned again this week & its worse than ever, tea & coffee machine broken again so no hot drinks, very few staff, slow service, and tables & floor were still dirty. The food although reasonably priced didn't look appetising with the chips partially burnt, and the toasties looked as if they had been run over by a bulldozer. She did offer to make some more chips , but we didn't have time due to the long wait.
Also there was no salt to be found anywhere!!!
Many others we spoke too were also complaining or walked out.
Visited again today ... No got drinks yet again! or hot food for a while due to problems .This place has become abysmal !!
We used to enjoy this place for VFM tasty food & service..What's gone wrong ?
Update 2025: Big improvement, ordering food much easier, quick service and polite staff

Cups were all dirty the girl said they hadn't been in for two days as it was Easter and to sort through and find a clean one then she would put the rest in for a bath. Tables were not clean scones were rock hard not very nice

Waited 50minuts for 1 lasagna and a further 20minutes for dessert. It was not busy and other people served that came in after me. Will NOT be going there again.

Bad. I do not recommend. These happened on many occasions:
Egg & bacon cold.
Half a tiny tomato £1.
Fried egg - white part partially raw.
Waiting time for fried egg and a bacon - 35 monutes.
Waiting time for chips - 15 minutes
No dairy alternatives for coffee.
No gluten free freshly backed cakes.

Good food cooked well for a good price. Service wasn't particularly fast but it was friendly and we were not in a rush anyway. There were no vegetarian sausages available today which was a bit disappointing, but I would be surprised if this is a regular occurrence.

Extremely poor service, we tried using the machine to order our food and the person I was with got a build your own breakfast as she’s a strict vegetarian, when we got our receipt you couldn’t even read it because it had no ink in there, when our food came the person I was with got the mighty breakfast, and when she stated it was wrong the waitress did nothing and said there was nothing she could do. I strongly do not recommend going here

Well the food doesnt look anything like the pictures above i can assure you,you will get dry ,burnt or greasy !!!!! Terrible disinterested staff, no tea spoons in the trays had to ask 3 times to get one ,more interested in sitting out the back than serving, food is over cooked been sitting around i suspect,poor service ,slow to get food out ,food awful ,i complained to head office a while back about the awful food and service usual reply we take complaints seriously ,retraining blah blah blah ,well obviously none of that was done ,because again it was terrible !!!!!!!

The one in kings lynn used to be very good ,i wonder if that has got as bad as wisbech ?

Food is good, nicely presented, staff lovely, unfortunately the new menu is disappointing as they have cut down a lot on choice of food on the nenu. Old menu had a lot more to choose from.

Two mini fish and chips with choice of peas or beans £4.80 + drink good value for money and not so mini. They also have an excellent choice for a supermarket cafe. Highly recommend. Will be going back when needing a shopping break meal.

Food great, service horrendously bad waited 40 minutes and two ladies opposite were 5 minutes off an hour and still didn't have their food when we left. Nothing coming out of the kitchen most of the time we waited.

I've been here many times and generally it's not too bad for service but today was told 25mins waiting on food which is fine but it ended up being 45mins waiting. Good job the hot drinks are free to refill. Food is usually done to a good standard but todays hash browns were dripping with oil and yellowy inside. Not great.
I'll come back again because it's an occasional tradition to eat at the Café if we decide to shop at Morrisons but if this service continues to disappoint then I'll take my breakfast chances elsewhere.
